However, by then, few studies within the Spanish academic realm had analyzed or questioned Boyd's contribution, those by Lazaro (1997, 2000) and Rivas (1999) being the most notable ones. Thus, this book, which provides much more than 'A Case Study', is welcome as it fills an existing vacuum, and stands as a serious, original examination of Boyd and his work.
